Secretary/Accounts Payable
We have two full-time staff members
that work in the office alongside our estimator. We are looking to expand our team to cover a
maternity leave. Training will start immediately,
and employment will continue until the end of September 2025.
We are seeking an Accounts Payable / Secretary. Ideally this candidate will have an
understanding of basic accounting principles and competency with MS
Office. This individual must be able to
work in a professional, mature manner as a contributing team member, as well as
work independently with little supervision.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable: Entering transactions into
accounting system by matching packing slips and Purchase Orders, allocating
costs and paying suppliers
- Quarry stone weigh ticket input: allocate
quarry stone tickets into the correct projects, post individual tickets into
accounting system
- Perform basic office tasks, such as filing,
data entry and answering phones
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
- Capable of meeting deadlines and prioritizing
workload
- Minimum 1 to 2 years experience in an administrative/AP
position
Salary: $18.00 - $23.00/hour – depending on skill level and
experience
Job Type: Fulltime – Temporary - Contract
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 9:00am – 5:00pm– no holidays or weekends
Foreman/Site Supervisor
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate site activities to ensure work is executed in a safe, efficient and environmentally safe manner
- Completion of daily work logs, time sheets, job site health and safety documentation/tasks and verify packing slips etc.
- Interpret utility locates and exercise safe digging practices are carried out
- Plan ahead and coordinate with management to ensure equipment, labour, subcontractor and material needs are scheduled to the site when required for efficient cost effective completion of the work
- Coordinate work with clients and consultants
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years experience as a foreman in sewer, watermain and road construction
- Ability to understand blue prints, specifications and schedules
- Thorough understanding of construction procedures and safety
- Self motivated and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills with the ability to be able to communicate effectively with clients, engineers and the public
- Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
- Must have valid drivers license with clean abstract
- 45-50 hours per week; field work in all weather conditions
Rate of Pay: $40.00/hour based on experience

Civil Layout
Technician
Ideally,
you are a graduate from a Civil or Construction related program and have
practical GPS experience on heavy civil projects.
The
successful candidate must be able to work well independently and be willing to
work with others, keeping health and safety in mind.
The
position is seasonal (April to December) with potential for future career growth.
Responsibilities/Requirements
include, but not limited to:
- Generating as-built drawings
- Familiar with layout of construction sites using
GPS equipment and software
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maps,
plans and layout sheets and keep legible survey notes
- Proficient in CAD and Microsoft Office software
- A valid G driver’s licence is required
- 45-50 hours per week;
